Dr. Walter Erwin Dawkins II and Mrs. Elizabeth Vance Custer of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Shotwell Dawkins ,to Antonio Belsito, son of Mr. Leoluca Giorgio Belsito and Mrs. Giovanna Giuseppa Greco of Pizzo, Italy.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez, a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She is employed by Youth Villages in Nashville, Tenn.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Joseph Custer III of Natchez and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Eugene Dawkins of Fayette.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Istituto Tecnico Nautico in Pizzo and a graduate of Chief Engineer and Marine Engineer School in Pizzo. He is employed by Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Belsito and Mr. and Mrs. Francesco Greco, all of Pizzo.

The wedding will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Natchez.
