Vivien Raye Sandidge

NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Vivien Raye Sandidge, 75, of Natchez, who died Monday, March 19, 2018, in Dover, Del., will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the Natchez National Cemetery, 41 Cemetery Road.
Arrangements are under the direction of Torbert Funeral Chapels in Dover.
Mrs. Sandidge was born June 10, 1942, in Jacksonville, Fla., the daughter of Herbert Carlton and Mary Audrey Sandidge.
She was a 1960 graduate of Natchez High School. Mrs. Sandidge was married to Thomas James Derbyshire Sr.
Vivien was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Navy as a yeoman third class. She was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.
Vivien worked as a nurse for Jefferson Davis Hospital in the pediatric ward for eight years and was a home health nurse for a number of years after that.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Herbert Kenneth, Donald Carlton, Laura Jean and Glen Wallace.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas James and Michael Brian; six grandchildren, Thomas Randel Shane, Audrey Raye, Katrina Lynn, James Michael, Alejandra Renee and Rebecca Halle; and five great-grandchildren, Riley Michelle, Kaden James, MacKenzie Kylara, Matthias Ryan and Avery Mae.
