NATCHEZ — Natchez will reimburse approximately $77,000 to the former lessee of the old Broadway Street Depot for renovations that took place in 2016.

City aldermen voted Tuesday to repay New Orleans hotelier Warren Reuther for the renovations, which were completed before the city eventually rescinded the lease and reassumed control of the old depot from Reuther in September 2016.

The city currently plans to seek proposals from potential vendors to lease the building, which has sat idle for more than two years.
