NATCHEZ — Graveside services for William S. “Bill” Lewis III, 76, of Natchez, who died Saturday, March 17, 2018, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Barksdale officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Lewis was born Aug. 23, 1941, in New Iberia, La., the son of William Slaughter Lewis Jr. and Doris Geraldine Barker Lewis.
He was a member of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church.
Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Tammy D. Lewis.
Survivors include his wife, Onida W. Lewis; two sons, David William Lewis and wife, Ann, of Birmingham, Ala., and Christopher Dean Lewis of Marietta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Brittnay Cenia Lewis, William Blake Lewis and Cameron Sierra Lewis; one sister, Sharon Holloway of Natchez; two sisters-in-law, Bessie Mizelle of Byram and Betty Sue Wilkinson of Meadville; one brother-in-law, William Delhomme of Breaux Bridge, La.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his special pet children, Anastasia, Pepper, Molly, Minnie Mo, Beau and Joey Coco.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Robb, Blake Lewis, Bruce Mizelle, Ronnie Wilkinson, Wesley Wilkinson and Justin Bruce.
Memorials may be made to Jefferson Street United Methodist Church, Natchez-Adams County Humane Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to a charity of choice.
