YAZOO CITY — Services for Willie Rollins McCoy, 88, of Yazoo City, who died Monday, March 12, 2018, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, at McCoy Elementary School in Yazoo City.
Burial will be 11 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2018, at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Century Funeral Home in Yazoo City.
Mr. McCoy was born Aug. 26, 1929, in Natchez, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rollins and Lydia MCoy.
He was a member of Zion Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Natchez until he moved to Yazoo City and joined St. Stephen United Methodist Church. As a child, he attended Prince Street School and was a 1947 graduate of Brumfield High School.
Mr. McCoy and his wife, Jevonne Keller McCoy, moved to Yazoo City in 1957. They were blessed with three sons — Don, Juan and Jon.
Mr. McCoy retired from the Yazoo City public school system after 40 years of service.
