NATCHEZ — Services for Leroy Davis Sr., 75, of Natchez, who died Sunday, March 4, 2018, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. today at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry White officiating.    

Burial will be 1:30 p.m. at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Davis was born Dec. 17, 1942, in Jefferson County, the son of Corline Banks.

He was preceded in death by his mother; one daughter, Wilberta Matthews; one son, Keith Johnson; one grandson, Jeffery Lamar Davis; one sister, Dorothy Jackson; one aunt, Hazel Banks Ford; and one uncle, J.C. Banks.

Survivors include one son, Leroy Davis Jr. and wife, LaShaunda, of Houston; two granddaughters, Kimberly Matthews and Sharonda Sibley, both of McComb; four grandsons, Derrick Davis, Jeremy Davis and Craig Davis, all of Houston, and Albert Matthews of Tylertown; one sister, Rosie Stumps and husband, Arthur, of Natchez; three nieces, Cartina Owens and husband, Robert, Aretha Davis and Armetric Day and husband, Emerson, all of Natchez; one nephew, Arthur Stumps and wife, Saundra, of Natchez; one aunt, Katie Banks of Banks; special cousins, Mary Joyce Wood and Joyce Marie Brown, both of Ashville, N.C.; and a number of great-grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews, cousins and friends.
