Centreville — Three Wilkinson County residents have been arrested after a Centreville man was reportedly shot and killed in his driveway Monday night, authorities report.
Keshonne N. Johnson was arrested on a charge of murder, Revon L. McDonald was arrested on a charge of accessory to murder and Quinetta Moore was arrested on a charge of accessory after the fact to murder in connection to the shooting death of 24-year-old Gerald Minor.
Wilkinson County Sheriff Reginald L. Jackson said Johnson allegedly shot Minor at least twice in the upper body before 9 p.m. Monday at Minor’s residence on 189 Rolling Hill Drive near Centreville. The shooting, Jackson said, arose from an altercation concerning a small amount of money Minor owed Johnson.
Jackson said Minor’s mother was inside the house at the time of the altercation and ran outside after she heard gunshots. Minor’s mother was later able to positively identify the two men for police, who arrested Johnson and McDonald Tuesday.
Upon further investigation, Jackson said deputies discovered that Johnson had given the gun reportedly used to kill Minor to Moore and asked her to hide the weapon.
Jackson said one more arrest is likely to come in the case, though he would not give further details.
Wilkinson County Coroner Nolan Thompson said Minor’s body was found in the driveway of the residence, though no cars were parked at the house.
Thompson said Minor’s body was sent to the Mississippi Crime Lab for an autopsy and that he should have results back soon.
Johnson is being held at the Wilkinson County Jail on a bond of $500,000. McDonald and Moore are being held at the jail on bonds of $75,000 each.
