NATCHEZ — Services for Joseph Sinclair Conrad Jr., 69, of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Ford Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6:30 p.m., with a celebration of life wake service at 5 p.m., all at New Zion Baptist Church No. 1. Visitation will continue Friday from 9 a.m. until service time at Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Joseph was born Sept. 24, 1948, in Adams County, the son of David Henyard and Bessie Mae Conrad.

He graduated from high school and furthered his education and received an associate degree. Mr. Conrad was retired from the U.S. Army 386th Transportation Unit and also retired from Armstrong/Fidelity/Titan Tire Company after working with the company for 25 years.

Joseph was a faithful member of New Zion Baptist Church No. 1 where he served as a deacon. He also served in the Laymen’s Ministry. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph and Bessie Conrad Sago and David Henyard; grandparents, Joseph and Mattie Noble Conrad; one sister, Patricia JoAnn Sago; and sister-in-law, Bernadine “Pat” Doss.

Survivors include his devoted and loving wife, Geraldine B. Conrad; one son, Brock Conrad; three daughters, Wonder Conrad, Crystal Conrad and Joanna Conrad; six brothers, Monroe Sago and wife, Betty, John Sago and wife, Rena, Johnny Sago and wife, Janice, the Rev. Walter Sago and wife, Janice, George Henyard and Roosevelt Henyard; five sisters, Flora Sago McKnight and husband, Larry, Mary Sago-Scott, Linda Sago-Birdsong and husband, Kenneth, Ethel Myles and Bertha Henyard; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
