BROOKHAVEN — Services for Darius Lee Williams, 81, of Meadville, who died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Riverwood Family Services Chapel in Brookhaven.

Burial will follow at Byrd’s Cemetery in Franklin County under the direction of Riverwood Family Services.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until service Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Darius Lee Williams was born Aug. 11, 1936, in War, W. Va., the son of General Grant Williams and Mamie Jane Parker Williams.

Mr. Williams was a sales specialist in the automobile sales industry. He served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard and was a member of Mary Springs Church of God. He was also an active member of the National Rifle Association and was a person that loved life and enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Greggory Lee Williams; two brothers, Davis Haines Williams and Royce Dale Williams; and one sister, June Williams Clark.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Brenda N. Holland Williams; two sons, Greggory Darius Williams and wife, Krystal, and Randy James Arnaud and wife, Kathy; two daughters, Kimm Lea Williams and Dara Leigh Williams Jordan and husband, Billy; three brothers, Flavous Williams and wife, Anne, Charles Williams and wife, Vonceil, and Howard Williams; one sister, Maxine Williams Edwards; seven grandchildren, Meggan Elizabeth Wilkerson, Amber Richelle Arnaud, Charles Parker Jordan, Paxton Lee Jordan, Alexander Carlton Williams, Gabriel Darius Williams and Korbin Ramsey Williams; and three great-grandchildren, Melane Elizabeth Wilkerson, Maxwell Landry Wilkerson and Monroe Hayes Wilkerson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to the Nathan Steele Foundation through Bank of Franklin.
