FAYETTE — Services for LaTasha Latrice Collins, 28, of Fayette, who died on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, in Fayette, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Faith Worship Center with the Rev. J.L. Hammitte officiating.

Burial will follow at the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery in Fayette under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home Fayette Branch.     

Visitation will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

LaTasha was born on Oct. 15, 1989, in Adams County, the daughter of Hazel “Polly” Collins Jones and Larry Moore.

She received an associate of arts degree in child development from Hinds Community College and a bachelor of science degree in child development at Mississippi State University. LaTasha was a former correctional officer at Dixie Correctional Institution.  She enjoyed raising her daughter, Ma’kiyah, family functions, collecting Jordans, going to the beauty shop and dining out.

She was preceded in death by her mother; three brothers, Eddie Wilson, Lamont Collins and Kelvin Collins; grandparents, L.C. and Ruby Littleton, Ethel Lee Moore and Ben Joe Carroll; cousin, Antonio “Lit Tony” Littleton; and others.

Survivors include, one daughter, Ma’kiyah Collins; her father; her stepfather, Paul Jones; five brothers, Marlo Collins and wife, Earline, Antonio Collins and wife, Tomisha, Keith White, Larry Moore Jr., and KenDarius Moore; eight sisters, Lakenya “Kim” Collins, Lakeshia Johnson, Lamesha Collins, Ebony Brown, QuaSheckia Wallace, Keisha Luckett, Leisha Washington and Ke’Ana Moore; special friends, Michael Washington and Sharon Colenburg; special nephew, Kel Taurus Malone; and other relatives and friends.
