LORMAN — Services for Mr. Bonnie Monroe Maher Jr., 86, of Lorman, who died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethesda Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Union Church Cemetery under the direction of Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, both at the church.

Mr. Maher was born Dec. 30, 1931, the son of Bonnie Monroe Maher Sr. and Alma Smith Maher.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Masons and enjoyed family and farming.

Mr. Maher was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mildred Maher and Audrey Brown; and one brother, Pete Maher.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Hazel Maxine Beesley Maher; two sons, Tony Maher and wife, Charlotte, and Jeff Maher and wife, Rene; two daughters, Rebekah “Becky” Maher Johnson and husband, James, and Dana Maher Fleming and husband, Henry; two sisters, Louise Southerland Steen and Nell Ashley; eight grandchildren, Sarah Creadeur, Emily Magee, Benji Maher, Chris Fleming, Phillip Maher, Paige Bromen, Tiffany Maher and Chelsea Maher; and 10 great-grandchildren.
