NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Richard Washington Jr., 83, who died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, in Rockledge, Fla., will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Fresh Anointed Apostolic Church with Pastor Freddie Parker officiating.

Burial will follow at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

The visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Natchez and on Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Washington was born on Sept. 6, 1934, the son of Richard and Mary Davis Washington. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Washington was proceeded in death by his parents.

His survivors include his loving wife, Edna Logan Washington; five children: Avis Lavern Washington, Lorraine Washington Smith, Barbara Ann Washington Cooks, Donald Washington and Donnell Washington, and a host of other relatives and friends.
