WOODVILLE— Services for Leola “Rat” McCullar, 101, of Woodville, who died on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m.  Saturday at Free Springs Baptist Church in Dolorosa with the Rev. George F. Norfin officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today with a celebration of life wake service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.  Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the church.

Mrs. McCullar was born on Oct. 16, 1916, in Woodville, the daughter of Lewis Wells and Saran Jane Wells.

She was retired from the St. Francis Canning Company.  She was a member of Free Springs Baptist Church and served as an usher.  Her hobbies included quilting, gardening and cooking.

Mrs. McCullar was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill McCullar and one daughter, Julia White.

Survivors include one son, Qunion McCullar and wife, Pam; four daughters, Willie Pearl McDonald, Marie Smith and husband, Raymond, Carrie Brown, and Alfrnet Mims and husband, James; 14 grandchildren, Stephanie, Moses, Cynthia and husband, Marshall, Antonio, Ricky, Nicole and husband, Dakari, Sharita and husband, Vilard, Shalonda and husband, Rick, Joe Jr., Mario, Tammy, Regina, Patrice and husband, Keithon, and Lisa; 27 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.  Leola lived to witness and cherish six generations.
