NATCHEZ — Services for Josephine Smith, 90, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, at Merit Health Central in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Greater Mount Sinai Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith was born April 13, 1927, in Adams County, the daughter of Frank Jackson and Virginia Davis Jackson.

She was a retired custodian with the Natchez Adams School District. She was also a member of Tate Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Mose Williams, Sam Jackson and Robert Jackson; and two sisters, Alberta Jackson and Eula Mae Wright.

Survivors include two sons, Earl Smith and wife, Juanita, and Clarence Smith; one daughter, Bertha Smith; one granddaughter, Tanja Y. Smith; and other relatives and friends.
