FAYETTE — Services for Will T. Gaines, 63, of Fayette, who died Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at his residence, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Poplar Hill African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Sabrena Bartley officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the Natchez chapel and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Gaines was born March 9, 1954, in Fayette, the son of William and Hattie Gaines.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Payton; one sister, Amanda Gaines Lacey; and one brother, Leonard Gaines.

Survivors include his wife, Shelia Gaines; four daughters, April Gaines, Michelle Gaines, Tyra Gaines and Tilja Gaines; four sisters, Susie Gaines, Mattie Gaines, Rosie G. Ellis and Willie Mae G. Smith; two brothers, William Gaines Jr. and Leroy Gaines; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
