Pedestrian hit in Ferriday roadway

Ferriday — A pedestrian was struck by a passing car on E.E. Wallace Boulevard Wednesday night.
Ferriday Police Department officers responded to the scene at approximately 5:58 p.m.
The side view mirror was knocked off of the silver vehicle where the man had made contact with the vehicle.
The individual was reportedly wearing dark clothing and did not cross the street at an intersection.
The incident occurred at between the AutoZone and Big John’s Burgers on E.E. Wallace.
Ferriday police reported that the man was not believed to be seriously injured, but was taken to Riverland Medical Center to be examined.
The roadway was cleared again by approximately 6:30 p.m.
