Local women among prostitution arrests

FERRIDAY — Multiple news outlets report that a Ferriday woman and a Clayton woman were among five women arrested Wednesday in a Baton Rouge Parish prostitution ring.
WAFB reports that Eriel Jefferson, 20, of Ferriday, and Myeshia Robinson, 28, of Clayton were arrested Wednesday, each charged with prostitution.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office reportedly contacted various females who were advertising sexual services on social media as a part of an undercover prostitution sting.
Agents would contact the women, set a price for services and then meet and arrest them women at a motel room.
Jefferson and Robinson were being held at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison with a $1,000 bond each as of Wednesday evening.
WBRZ reported Jefferson allegedly was discovered hiding in a bathroom and negotiated a $200 payment for sexual acts with the undercover officer.
Robinson also allegedly negotiated a $200 sexual act with undercover officers, the station reported. Jefferson attended Ferriday High School and was on the freshman homecoming court in 2012.
Jefferson was arrested in 2015 on a charge of disturbing the peace by fighting.
Robinson was arrested in August on charges of theft greater than $750 and bank fraud, in March 2015 on charges of disturbing the peace, and in December 2015 on a charge of no child restraint and speeding.
Other women arrested in the sting include Anna Guidry, 30, of Prairieville, Victoria Lithgow, 32, of Gonzales, and Candace Ware, 38, of Dothan, Ala.
