VIDALIA – Services for Derrick DaShawn Smith, 20, of Vidalia, who died Monday, April 25, 2011, in Vidalia, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Young’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Vidalia/Concordia Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

A wake service will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mr. Smith was born Feb. 24, 1991, in Natchez, the son of Angela White and Reginald Smith Sr.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, McAmis White and paternal great-grandmother, Olivia Smith.

Survivors include his parents; paternal grandparents, Anderson and Irene Smith; maternal grandmother, Rita Hunt; six sisters, Latrice Bingham, LaToya Smith, Dontille White and Alisha White, all of Texas, Courtney Smith and Jalyn Smith, both of Vidalia; three brothers, Reginald Smith Jr. and Anthony Smith, both of Texas and Allen Smith of Rosemount, Minn.; and a number of other relatives and friends.
