WINNSBORO, La. — Services for Carolyn Patricia Lawrence Dawsey, 81, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, in Natchez, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro, La., with the Rev. Jerry Hunt officiating.     

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dawsey was born April 11, 1936, in Baskin, La., the daughter of Tracy L. and Martha Elizabeth Anderson Lawrence.

She loved shopping, cooking and sewing. She was a proud mother, grandmother and wife. She loved her family and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dawsey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 28 years, Carl Dawsey; two sisters, Myra Beth Lawrence and Juanita Lawrence Dear; and one grandson, Josh Thomas.

Survivors include three children, Kay Palmer and husband, Wilson, of Natchez, Wayne Thomas and wife, Kandie, of Winnsboro, and Debbie Toman and husband, Keith, of Fairfield, Calif.; seven grandchildren, T.J. Garland, Michael Thomas and wife, Julie, Savannah Van Voorhis and husband, Jason, Lindsay Brashier and husband, Beau, Lori Clark, Jason Clark and Neal Palmer; six great-grandchildren, Dylan Garland, Jaleigh Thomas, Mason Thomas, Evelyn Van Voorhis, Jaxon Brashier and Hendrix Brashier; one brother, E.R. “Buck” Lawrence; and a number of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Beau Brashier, Jason Van Voorhis, Michael Thomas, Neal Palmer, Dylan Garland and Keith Toman.

Honorary pallbearer will be Mark Clark.
