NATCHEZ — Services for Bernard Scott, 86, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2107, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with James Bobby Davis of Vicksburg officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Curtis Funeral Home.

Mr. Scott was born April 20, 1931, in New York, N.Y., the son of Vinson Scott and Bertha Davis Scott.

He attended school in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was employed as a concrete and brick associate. He retired in 2015. He was a proficient card and game player.

He also valued his friendship with Duncan Morgan, employer and co-worker, Carl Lang.

Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Willie Mae Scott.

Survivors include one daughter, Desocere Ann Scott Cargill; three cousins, Mary Lee Davis-Toles, James Bobby Davis and William Davis; and other family members, Elizabeth Davis, Rosa Redd, Louisa Avery, Simon Washington and Agnes Marshall.
