FERRIDAY — The Cedar Creek School Cougars remain undefeated Friday night as they defeated the Delta Charter School Storm 38-6 in an LHSAA District 3-1A game.
Cedar Creek (9-0, 6-0), ranked No. 3 in the Division IV power ratings and No. 6 in the LSWA Class 1A poll, jumped out to a 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and extended its lead to 26-0 at halftime.
The Cougars were up 38-0 and it looked like they were going to shut out Delta Charter, the No. 13 team in the Class 1A power ratings.
But the Storm avoided that with a touchdown with just 2:10 remaining.
Delta Charter (5-4, 3-3) hosts Ouachita Christian School Friday at 7 p.m. with playoff positioning at stake both teams.
