More arrests made in theft of firearms in Vicksburg

Vicksburg police have arrested three more people in the Oct. 17 theft of 15 firearms from a home in the 1400 block of Wisteria Drive, Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said.

 The Vicksburg Post reports, police Tuesday arrested Marquez Dundre Tucker, 19, Richard Rashad Albert, 24, and Ladarius Kaghnin Butler, 21. Tucker is charged with residential burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. Albert and Butler are each charged with residential burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Albert was on probation at the time of the burglary, Edwards said.

Police Oct. 20 arrested Julius Mobley, 25, in connection with the thefts. Officers have recovered one of the guns taken in the burglary.

Albert was released after posting a $50,000 bond, Warren County Jail records show. Butler is being held in the county jail in lieu of $50,000 bond, but he has a hold on him placed the Mississippi Department of Corrections. MDOC officials have also placed a hold on Mobley. Information on Tucker was unavailable.

In other cases:

• Elliott Cameron Jr., 24, was returned to Vicksburg on a warrant for motor vehicle taking.

Cameron is accused of stealing a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria on Sept. 11. He was arrested in McDonald County, Mo., by authorities there and held for Vicksburg police.

Bond information was unavailable.
