Let’s get kickin’ for a cause Saturday

Remember recess in elementary school? Remember long summer days spent playing outside? Maybe playing kickball in the schoolyard, or in the cul-de-sac behind your house? Relive all those memories and make some new ones by joining Leadership Natchez’s second annual Kickball Tournament Saturday at Duncan Park. We have 14 teams, with room for two more, who will be vying for the prize!

Will Tommy Smith’s team take home the championship for the second time?

Will Natchez Regional beat Community?

Will Trinity or Cathedral move on to round two?

All these questions and more will be answered out on the “battlefield.”

How much, you ask, to see such epic grudge matches?

That one I can answer already — $10. For only the price of admission you get a full day of fun, food and drinks. The ticket is all inclusive.

And the best part — you will be helping raise money for the Sunshine Shelter. All proceeds from the event will go directly to them.

What more could you ask for? Good fun, good food, food fellowship and good feelings from helping those in need.

Games start at 10 in the morning with the championship match slated to start around 3 that afternoon. But you won’t want to wait that long! The whole day promises to be a good one! Remember, it’s this Saturday at Duncan Park.

We’ll see you there!

And, by the way, our brackets aren’t full yet so if you’d rather jump into the mix than just watch from the sidelines grab nine of your best buddies and form a team!

We only ask that you all be over the age of 13 and at least two team members be female.

Registration fee is only $100.
