NATCHEZ — Services for Annie Laura Cassels, 96, of Walker, LA., formerly of Natchez, who died peacefully at home with her daughter, Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, in Walker, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Lovely Lane United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mitch Cochran and the Rev. Danny Speed officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Saturday until service time at the church.
Mrs. Cassels was born Dec. 11, 1920, in Amite County, the daughter of Stanley Poole and Zelma Anders Poole.
She was a longtime resident of Natchez and a member of Lovely Lane United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, M. K. Cassels; a son-in-law, Willie Davidson; and one grandson, Ernest Davidson.
Survivors include three children, Charlotte Day and husband, Harold D., of Boerne, Texas, Scott Cassels and wife, Peggy, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and Leigh Cassels Brown and husband, Chris, of Walker; five grandchildren, Mark Davidson, David Cassels, Aaron Schranz, Cori Wood and Cassels Brown; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris Brown, David Cassels, Mark Davidson, K. C. Wood, Wade Hartman and Nolan Voss.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lovely Lane United Methodist Church.
