Debra Denise Richardson, 23, 319 Broadmoor Drive, Natchez, on charges of shoplifting. Released on $706 bond.


Xavier L. Davis, 22, 118 Tubman Circle, Natchez, on charges of driving under suspension. Released on $470 bond.


Jean L. O’Quin, 42, 54 Starnes Drive, Natchez, on charges of possession of a controlled substance. No bond set. On hold for other agency.


Ricky Potters, 56, 10 King Circle, Natchez, on charges of contempt of court for failure to pay. Total fine set at $492 plus 29 days in jail.

Adams County Circuit Court Cases 


Tuesday, April 5:


Justin King pleaded guilty to misdemeanor petit larceny. Sentenced to 180 days in the County Jail to be suspended on condition of good behavior. Must immediately pay court costs of $236.00 and a $250.00 fine. Must immediately pay restitution to the Isle of Capri Casino of $400.00. Cannot go upon the property of Isle of Capri Casino. Placed on non-reporting probation for one year.


Johnny Johansson pleaded guilty to one count of child fondling. Sentenced to 11 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections, after receiving full credit for time already served in the Adams County Jail, the remaining balance to be served on post-release supervision for 10 years. Defendant shall be required to promptly report as a sex offender and comply with all applicable laws resulting from this conviction. Must immediately pay all court costs, including a prosecution fee of $200.00.


Wednesday, March 30:


Natasha M. Hawkins charged with two counts of felony false pretense. Case entered into nolle prosequi after the defendant successfully completed the Pretrial Intervention Program.


Monday, March 28:


Fernandus Frye pleaded guilty to felony malicious mischief. Sentenced to five years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections, after receiving full credit for any time already served in the Adams County Jail, the remaining balance to be served on formal post-release supervision for four years through the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Must pay all court costs, including any fees incurred by Adams County.


Jessica Bradley charged with grand larceny. Case entered into nolle prosequi after successfully completing the Pretrial Intervention Program.


Wednesday, March 23:


Tyrell Kelly pleaded guilty to robbery (count I). Sentenced to 11 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections, after receiving full credit for time already served in jail, the remaining balance of 10 years to be served on post-release supervision, with the first five years to be formal reporting post-release supervision through the Mississippi Department of Corrections, followed by five years of informal non-reporting post-release supervision. Must pay restitution of $87.00 and all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200.00. Count II, aggravated assault, retired to the inactive files.


Tuesday, March 22:


Lzedrick Thomas was indicted by a grand jury for burglary of a storehouse. Defendant pleaded guilty to sale of cocaine and was sentenced accordingly. Charge of burglary of a storehouse entered into nolle prosequi and dismissed in light of the plea of guilty and sentencing of sale of cocaine.


Thursday, March 17:


Cedric Williams pleaded guilty to robbery (count I). Sentenced to 11 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections, after receiving full credit for time already served in jail, the remaining 10 years to be served on post-release supervision, with the first five years to be formal reporting post-release supervision through the Mississippi Departmetn of Correction, followed by five years of informal non-reporting post-release supervision. Must pay restitution of $87.00 and all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200.00. Count II, aggravated assault, retired to the inactive files.


Arthur Moore found not guilty by a jury of uttering a forgery.


Roderick Brady charged with willfully shooting a firearm at or into a motor vehicle. Defendant was in violation of the terms and conditions of his post-release supervision by testing positive for the use of marijuana, while on supervision, and for other reasons. Supervision is revokes and the defendant is ordered to serve all of the remaining balance of his sentence in the Mississippi Department of Corrections.


Thursday, Feb. 10:


Roger Kelly charged with uttering a forgery. Defendant freely admitted that he was in violation of his post-release supervision by missing numerous report dates, failing to pay court ordered amounts and in other respects. Defendant ordered to serve five years of the remaining balance of his sentence in the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with any further period of supervision being terminated.


Friday, Jan. 14:


Latasha Washington pleaded guilty to grand larceny. Sentenced to five years suspended and placed on five years probation. Must pay all court costs within 30 days. All outstanding fees, including restitution of $337.50 and court cost of $310.50, and all outstanding District Attorney administrative fees of $700.00 for a total of $1,848.00 in another case shall be paid within six months.


Friday, Jan. 7:


Horace Pullins III pleaded guilty to possession of stolen property. Sentenced to seven years suspended and placed on five years probation. Must pay all court costs within 30 days. Credit shall be and is hereby given for time already served.


Mario Hartwell pleaded guilty to credit card fraud (count V). Sentenced to one year in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. After serving eight months, the remaining balance of four months is suspended and defendant is place on probation for the remaining four months. Must pay all court costs within 30 days. Counts I (burglary of an automobile), II (burglary of an automobile), III (credit card fraud) and IV (credit card fraud) are dismissed.

Friday, April 15:


Myron K. Coleman, 18, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Fine set at $444.


Anthony Kenjuan Haywood, 25, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false information. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $394. Haywood also pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $494.


Ronnie Donta Johnson, 19, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Fine set at $444.


Tiffany Cherie Taylor, 34, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Fine set at $444.


Willie Thomas Jr., 19, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Fine set at $444.


Ermon Martrel Rice, 22, pleaded guilty to violating the city’s noise ordinance. Sentenced to three days suspended. Fine set at $249.


Monday, April 18:


Charles E. O’Bryant, 55, found not guilty after trial of simple assault.


James Houston Parker Jr., 47, charged with DUI – other substance. Case dismissed.


Clarence Simpson, 70, charged with DUI – other substance. Case dismissed for lack of evidence of intoxication.


Wednesday, April 20:


James Harry Anderson Jr., 19, charged with simple assault – domestic violence. Case remanded to files.


Latara N. Davis, 22, charged with simple assault. Case remanded to files for one year pending good behavior.


Eric Michael Dunham, 41, found guilty of possession of marijuana 30 grams or less (misdemeanor). Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $425.


Matthew Richard Kaiser, 19, charged with beer/wine possession/purchase by a minor. Case remanded to files for one year pending good behavior.


Brandon Hunter Stowers, 19, pleaded guilty to beer/wine possession/purchase by a minor. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $369.
