FERRIDAY — Services for Joyce Robertson Strozier, 88, who died Friday, April 22, 2011, in Ferriday, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Comer Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Ray Varnado officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum in Ferriday under the direction of Comer Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Strozier had been a resident of Ferriday for 65 years and a member of the Sevier Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a retired social worker for the state of Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert D. “Bill” Strozier Sr. son, Albert D. Strozier Jr. and a sister, Eileen Barramore.

Survivors include one son, Bob Strozier of Ferriday, one brother, Gordon Robertrson of Napels, Fla., sisters Rosalie Keller of Los Angeles, Connie Irving of Lake Charles, La. and Yvonne Raley of Mandeville, La.; grandchildren, Madelyn Mayce Strozier of Brandon and Sarah C. Strozier of Natchez and one great-grandchild Peyton Strozier.
