MCBRIDE — Services for Canary Rankin “Tweet” Brinston, 92, of Port Gibson, who died Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at River Regions Merit Health, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church in McBride with the Rev. James Wells officiating.    

Burial will follow at St. Luke Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Brinston was born Dec. 28, 1924, in Union Church, the daughter of Captain and Rosella Rankins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Vincent Brinston; three sisters, Alma, Mayrene and Earlene; and three brothers, Ezekiel, Elias and Grover.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Robinson and Jacklin Brinston; one son, Julius Caesar Brinston; two granddaughters, Canary Robinson and Katrika Brinston; one grandson, Vincent Anderson; one brother, Albert Rankin; one daughter-in-law, Trina Brinston; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
