NATCHEZ — Private graveside services for Ethel Mae Nations, 90, of Natchez, who died Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez, were noon Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at Lees Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Burial followed under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Miss Nations was born Sept. 14, 1927, in Brookhaven, the daughter of Henry Preston Nations and Etta Melinda Nations.

She was a longtime employee of City Bank and Deposit Guaranty Bank, both of Natchez. After she retired, she was employed by the Pilgrimage Garden Club for a number of years.

Miss Nations was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Clifton Nations; and three nephews, Jimmie Nations, Mark Nations and Danny Hooks.

Survivors include one sister, Lucille Hooks of Chattanooga, Tenn., and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family extended thanks to her caregiver Patty Temple, her friend and advisor Allen Burchfield, and Dr. Kenneth Stubbs for his compassion and care.
