Thanks to a 22-point third quarter, the LHSAA Class 2A Lakeside High School Warriors pulled away for a 41-12 win over the Class 1A Block High School Bears Friday night.

Lakeside jumped out to an early 13-0 lead, but Block responded with two touchdowns of its own and found itself trailing just 13-12 at halftime. However, the Bears could not keep the momentum going in the second half.

Zorian Bowie completed 13 of 26 passes for 133 yards with one touchdown and one interception to go with 14 carries for 64 yards and one touchdown.

Block (0-5) returns to District 3-1A play next Friday at 7 p.m. when it hosts Northwood-Lena High School for homecoming.
