Ferriday High stays undefeated with big win over General Trass, 60-12

Jerrius Scott had 182 rushing yards and four touchdowns on just six carries as the Ferriday High School Trojans rolled over the General Trass Panthers Friday night in LHSAA District 2-2A action, 60-12.
As a team, Ferriday had 422 of its 532 yards on the ground. Byron Milligan had four carries for 92 yards and two touchdowns. Da’minya Milligan had eight carries for 76 yards and one touchdown while Kobe Dillon had three carries for 72 yards and one TD.
The Trojans, the No. 1 team in the Class 2A power ratings and the No. 5 team in the LSWA Class 2A poll, opened the game with a 30-point first quarter. They led General Trass (3-2, 0-1) at halftime, 44-0.
Jyron Milligan threw just one pass in the game, and it went for an 80-yard touchdown to Byron Milligan. Defensively, Sebastian Turner and Lewis Matthews III each had one interception, while Dantrieze Scott had five tackles, three of them for a loss, one sack and one fumble recovery. Turner also had seven tackles.
The Trojans had about as clean of a game as a team could have to go with the 532 yards of total offense — no turnovers and just four penalties for 20 yards.
Ferriday (5-0, 2-0) plays at Class 5A Denham Springs at 7 p.m. next Friday.
