VIDALIA — Services for Elbert White, 65, of Vidalia, who died Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Triumph Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Douglas Logan officiating.    

Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. White was born Aug. 17, 1952, in Natchez, the youngest son of Dan White Sr. and Margie Chatman White.

He was a graduate of Vidalia High School and Southern University. He retired from the Concordia Parish Sheriff Office with 22 years of service.

Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents; nine siblings, Dorothy White, Hattie B. White, Irene White, Orma Jean James, Cora White Dixon, Dan White Jr., James Henry White, Leonard White and Willie White.

Survivors include one sister, Deirdra W. Arrington and husband, Rickie, of Vidalia; four sisters-in-law, Vergie White, Marilyn K. White, Glaldys White and Earline White; one aunt, Shirley Chatman; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
