FERRIDAY — Services for Session Bosley Jr., 50, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Ferriday, who died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Rufus Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Michael Reed officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Bosley was born Aug. 1, 1960, in Monroe, La., the son of Session Bosley Sr. and Laura Bowman.

He was preceded in death by his father; one daughter, Doris Gilmore; one brother, Salome Williams; and one sister, Doris Lewis.

Survivors include his mother; one son, Session Bosley Jr.; four daughters, Tameka Gilmore, Fredlena Gilmore, all of Ferriday, Irene Gilmore of Clayton and Session’e Bosley of Baton Rouge; five brothers, Louis Bowman Jr., Robert Bowman, Tyrone Bowman, Lavon Bowman, all of Ferriday, and Hebert Washington and wife, Karen, of Monroe, La.; nine sisters, Ollie Hampton and husband, Samuel, Shirley Sanders, Sharon Bowman, Rose Bowman, Sharika Bowman, Jennifer Meredith, Sandra Meredith, all of Ferriday, Geraldine James and husband, Donald, of Natchez, and Deloris Washington of New Orleans; 15 grandchildren; four aunts; five uncles; special uncle, Johnny Lee Washington and wife, Elaine, of Baton Rouge.
