The Oak Grove High School Tigers cruised past the Delta Charter School Storm 49-8 Friday night in the LHSAA District 2-1A opener for both teams.

Oak Grove (3-1, 1-0), proved why it is one of the top teams in all of Class 1A with a dominating performance from start to finish. The Tigers led 14-0 after one quarter of play and 35-0 at halftime.

Delta Charter, No. 18 in the 1A power ratings, finally got on the scoreboard midway through the third quarter with a touchdown and a two-point conversion. However, that would be the only points the Storm would put up.

The Tigers, No. 6 in the aforementioned power ratings, finished off the Storm with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

Delta Charter (2-2, 0-1) hosts Sicily Island at 7 p.m. next Friday in a key early district game for both teams.
