LIBERTY — Services for Emerson “Blue” Causey, 53, of Gloster, who died Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Southwest Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. today at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Liberty.
Burial will follow at Cotten Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Causey was born June 24, 1957, in Amite County, the son of David and Lucille Taplin Causey.
He was preceded in death by his father; and three brothers, Ernest Thompson, Thomas Causey and Henry Causey.
Survivors include his loving mother; one daughter, Monica Peters; one son, Andrea Peters; two sisters, Mamie McKinley and husband, Alvin, and Suezann Causey Robinson; eight brothers, Charlie Thompson, Bobby Thompson, Roy Thompson and wife, Ethel, Jerry Thompson and wife, Claudia, Clemon Causey and wife, Diane, Larry Causey and wife, Jackie, Isaac Causey and wife, Ceretha, and Jonathan Causey; one godson, Darius “D.J.” LeBlanc; two special nieces, Shaquana Causey and Trenease Day; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
