Ronnie and Mary Bruit of Wildsville, La., announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amy Bruit to Troy Mayo, son of Mark Mayo of Jonesville.

The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Block High School in Jonesville and a 2009 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe, La. She is employed by Jena Band of Choctaws in Jena, La.

She is the granddaughter of the late Albert and Thelia Krause of Sicily Island and the late Harvey and Irene Bruit of Wildsville.

The groom-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Harrisonburg High School in Harrisonburg, La., and a 2007 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He is employed by Halliburton.

He is the grandson of Daniel and Shannon Mayo of Harrisonburg and the late Lawrence and Evelyn St. Amand of Covington, La.

The wedding will be 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct 14, 2017, at the Hotel Vue, 130 John R. Junkin Drive, in Natchez, outside overlooking the Mississippi River. In case of inclement weather, the wedding will be moved to The Gables.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at The Gables, 3008 Carter St., in Vidalia.

Family and friends are invited.

The couple will make their home in Harrisonburg.
