Pray for positive growth in community

God has promised that “where two or more are gathered,” God is there with us. Furthermore, He promises that “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways, I will heal their land.”

As Natchez United proceeds in efforts to support improved education, economy and engagement of all people in positive growth, we need the prayers of the faith-based community! That being said, we also do not want any personal agendas or opinions to get in the way and distract, or misdirect from what God would have us do. Therefore, we are making this prayer request to all believers in the area. Please begin praying the following prayer immediately:

You have promised that where two of us gather in Your Name, You will be in our midst, and that if we humble ourselves and pray, you will heal our land. We are resting on those promises in faith as we come to You humbly to request Your Wisdom and Guidance in moving ahead with improvements for Natchez and all of Adams County, beginning with a healing of our community. We pray for You to cover the scars of the centuries that have left a broken community. Heal Your Body — the believers who profess Your Holy Name — so that we may join together in one accord for our community.

Next, we ask for Your Wisdom and Direction regarding the schools. None of us can deny that there are deep fractures in the system, which gets in the way of success for our children. We pray your healing for those wounds and ask You to replace them with a wholeness that supports progress for all children.

Finally, we pray for Your Protection and bind the powers of evil that may rise against those who are striving for Your Will. We know that on earth “we struggle not with flesh and blood, but with the principalities of darkness.” We pray for You to light those areas and guide those who are making decisions regarding education and its future.

It is in Your Holy Name that we pray, Amen.

Please pass this along and continue to pray for Natchez. We claim the promise in Jeremiah that reminds us, God has a plan for us. We pray that this plan be realized.
