Cottrell Ragland and Gladys Jones-Smith announce the engagement of their daughter, Latara Jones to Kendrell Miles, son of Frank Hutchins and Lavonne Miles-Belton, all of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of Alcorn State University in Lorman. She is employed by Phoenix Family Life Center in Vidalia.

She is the granddaughter of Loretta Jones-Young, Cleveland Young, Joyce Ragland-Smith and Willie Wesley, all of Natchez.

The groom-to-be attended Natchez High School and is employed by Turner Industries Construction Company in Baton Rouge as a foreman.

He is the grandson of the late Betty Hawkins-Miles of Natchez and the late David Monroe-Hawkins of Woodville.

The wedding will be 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at the Natchez Memorial Park on Union Street.

A reception will follow at the Natchez Community Center, 215 Franklin St., in Natchez. Family and friends are invited.
