FERRIDAY — Services for Dutch “Pop” White Sr., 73, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. James Beverly officiating.

Burial will follow at Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. White was born June 7, 1944, in Waterproof, the son of John and Josephine Petty White. He was a retired heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include four sons, Dutch White Jr. and wife, Melissa, Joseph White and wife, Darlene, LaKendrick Green, all of Ferriday, and Demetrius White and wife, Chelsea, of Lafayette, La.; four daughters, Lubertha Jolla and husband, David, of University Place, Wash., Gwendolyn Renee White and husband, Glenn, of Houston, Nicole White and Brenda White, both of Ferriday; a granddaughter raised as his own daughter, J’Nyjah White of Ferriday; four brothers, Evan Stacker of San Antonio, Texas, Mark White and wife, Katie, and Charles White, all of Ferriday, and Joseph White and wife, Leola, of Houston; seven sisters, Annie White and Marilyn Stacker, both of Kenner, La., Louise Mayse and husband, Eddie, Sherry White, Patricia Hall and husband, Raymond, all of Ferriday, Ruby Walker and husband, Willie, of Houston, and Brenda Davis and husband, Jamie, of Waterproof; a special friend, Vera White of Ferriday; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
