FAYETTE — Services for Etta Beatrice Thompson, 78, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Life Empowerment Church in Fayette with the Rev. Barney Rankin officiating.
Burial will follow at Gold Mount Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the Natchez chapel and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Thompson was born April 27, 1939, in Ashland, the daughter of the Rev. Freeman and Beatrice Pullins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Larry Thompson and David Thompson Jr.
Survivors include eight loving and devoted children, Mary Bethley and husband, Howard, Mernerva Thompson, Lachelle Knight and husband, Curtis, Marquis Thompson and Katrina Thompson, all of Natchez, Clarence Pullins and wife, Angela, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Lynell Thompson and wife, Lesia, of Fayette, and Cecil Thompson and wife, Kathy, of Ferriday; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
