FERRIDAY — Services for Ruby Hooper, 63, of Calumet Park, Ill., formerly of Vidalia, who died Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at her brother’s residence in Port Allen, La., will be noon Thursday at St. Thomas Baptist Church in Levee Heights, with the Rev. David Green.

Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Miss Hooper was born Sept. 26, 1953, in Natchez, the daughter of James and Elvira Lyles Hooper.

Survivors include two brothers, Albert Hooper and wife, Lois, of Port Allen, and Spencer Gray and wife, Ethel, of Gulfport; two sisters, Patricia Hooper and husband, Thomas Stokes, and Dorothy Johnson and husband, Melvin, all of Chicago; special niece and nephew, Livia Hooper and Darrell Hooper, both of Chicago; Dwayne Hooper of Dallas; and a number of other nieces, nephews and cousins.
