ACCS flexes muscles, routs St. Aloysius, 40-14

The Adams County Christian School Rebels, ranked No. 2 in MAIS Class AAA, cruised to a 40-14 win over the St. Aloysius Flashes in their home opener Friday night.
Julian Wilson led ACCS’s running game with 118 yards and two touchdowns on just 12 carries. DyKevis Ford added 89 yards and one touchdown on just five carries. The Rebels amassed 305 total rushing yards and four touchdowns.
Jacob McDaniel had a solid performance at quarterback for the Rebels, completing five of 10 passes for 106 yards with one touchdown and one interception. ACCS jumped out to a 21-0 first quarter lead and never looked back.
Both of St. Aloysius’s touchdowns came from Antonio Thompson, who had 16 carries for 157 yards. He had TD runs of 4 and 35 yards. However, the Flashes turned the ball over five times.
ACCS (2-0) will have its hands full next Friday at 7 p.m. when the Rebels travel to Hattiesburg to take on Presbyterian Christian School, one of the top teams in MAIS Class AAAA.
