Centreville drops road contest to Oak Forest, 29-7

Josh Falcone had touchdown runs of 44 and 35 yards for Oak Forest Academy as the MAIS Class AAAA Yellow Jackets defeated the Centreville Academy Tigers 29-7 Friday night.

Wyatt Brabham scored on a 2-yard run with 8:47 to go in the second quarter for the Class AA Tigers for a 7-0 lead. It was all Oak Forest after that.

After Falcone’s first TD run just past the midway point of the second quarter, the Yellow Jackets took the lead for good with a safety with 3:18 to go until halftime. Still, Oak Forest was only up 15-7 at the end of the third quarter before putting the game away in the fourth quarter.

Daniel Vine had 10 carries for 54 yards and Devon Parish had nine carries for 43 yards to lead Centreville’s offense. Tyler Thomassie completed just three of 13 passes for 48 yards.

Centreville (1-1) plays host to Class AAAA Parklane Academy at 7 p.m. Friday.
