LIBERTY — A car wreck on Mississippi 584 Monday resulted in the death of a 4-year-old child.

Lacie L. Whitehead, 23, of Albany, La., appeared to have run off the right edge of the road, crossing both lanes of traffic, sliding off the left side and rolling several times. The driver and her daughter, 4, were not properly restrained and were both ejected from the vehicle. Whithead was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. The 4-year-old was pronounced dead on the scene. A 2-year-old in the car survived.
