NATCHEZ — Early Tuesday morning an Adams County Sheriff’s Office investigation led to the arrest of 11 people described by law enforcement officers as street- to mid-level drug dealers.

Special Operations Group Commander Maj. Shane Daugherty said confidential informants were used to target the street-level drug dealers.

Along with assistance from the Natchez Police Department and the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, the narcotics agents attempted to serve 18 arrest warrants on 14 people.

Sheriff Travis Patten said this was a successful operation targeting drug dealers in Natchez and Adams County. Patten would not elaborate but said more arrests are pending.

Patten said agents are working to target all levels of drug distribution in the county.

Jesse Lee Clark, 64, 13 Stirling Road, was charged with two counts conspiracy to sell schedule II methamphetamine and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

Christopher Benard Gales, 41, 18 North Circle Drive, was charged with possession of schedule II crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Elijah Kendrick Hoggatt, 42, 2B Saragossa Road, was charged with two counts sale of schedule II methamphetamine in a church zone.

Victoria Granier Perry, 45, 489 Cranfield Road, was charged with sale of schedule II methamphetamine.

Charles Robert Posey Jr., 61, 111 Coral Ave., was charged with sale of schedule I marijuana in a school zone.

Carol Reed, 58, 118 Louisiana St., was charged with sale of schedule II crack cocaine in a church zone.

Erick Jermaine Woods, 31, 6 Beacon Road, was charged with sale of schedule II cocaine in a school zone.

Shannon Bridges, 45, 19 Green Acres Road, was charged with schedule II drugs.

Tkari Wallace, 41, 1153 Martin Luther King Jr. St., was charged with two counts sale of schedule II methamphetamine.

Darrius Owens, 24, 18 Anderson Drive, was charged with sale of schedule I ecstasy.

The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Sean Gregory, 18, 1222 Apple St., for conspiracy to sell schedule I ecstasy.

CPSO deputies are looking for Rashad Rutland on a warrant for conspiracy to sell schedule I ecstasy.

A warrant for Donnalyn Sanders, age and address not provided, was entered into a national database as Sanders is believed to be out of the state.

Patten said deputies are attempting to locate one additional person believed to still be in Adams County.

Patten said he is also expecting good things from Deputy Priester Byrne, who is assigned to the Special Operations Group, and will now be concentrating his efforts in drug diversion and prescription fraud.

“This is a part of drug enforcement that very rarely gets any attention until recently, partly because of the number of overdoses throughout the country,” Patten said.

Byrne will also act as the liaison from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office to Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ Drug Court Program.

Gregory, Owens and Woods were in jail Tuesday with no bond set.

Clark was in jail on a $35,000 bond.

Gales and Posey were released.

Hoggatt was released on a $20,000 bond.

Perry was in jail on a $75,000 bond.

Reed was in jail on a $20,000 bond.

Wallace and Bridges were in jail Tuesday on other charges and bonds have not been set for the new charges.
