NATCHEZ — Services for James Fletcher, 60, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.
Mr. Fletcher was born Aug. 4, 1956, in Natchez, the son of Leahman Stewart and Louise Fletcher Russell.
After graduating from high school, he furthered his education and received his college degree. Mr. Fletcher was a disabled U.S. Army veteran. He was also a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed reading the Bible.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Charlene Fletcher; one son, James Fletcher Jr.; his mother; one brother, Henry Russell and wife, Brenda; four sisters, Lillian Fort and Lavonne Floyd and husband, Larry, of Tigard, Ore., LaTrenda and Net of Louisiana; one stepdaughter, Vicki Thomas; and a number of other relatives and friends.
