FERRIDAY — Services for Evelyn Maples Bowers, 78, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at her residence, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Jerry Sharp officiating.
Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bowers was born Oct. 15, 1938, in Foules, La., the daughter of Jeff Ray Reeves and Mae Kelley Reeves.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Barbara R. Reeves; and one brother, Edward Reeves.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Melton and husband, Lee, and Sharon Prince and husband, Dennis; two sons, Robbie Renard and wife, Mary, and Buddy Maples and wife, Jacque; four granddaughters, April Pintard, Ashley Owens, Michelle Price and Jacqlynn Maples; nine grandsons, John McCready, Bobby Maples Jr., Joseph Prince, Allen Maples, Cody Prince, Mike Renard, Blake Prince, Caleb Rabb and Jacob Hayes; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She also leaves her cat, Shadow.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
