FERRIDAY — A Ferriday man was arrested on a warrant Sunday after allegedly fondling a juvenile earlier in the month and threatening to harm her if she told anyone.

David Humphrey, 19, 717 Virginia Ave., was charged with sexual battery and simple assault.

Ferriday police report the juvenile was at Humphrey’s residence visiting, where he allegedly fondled the juvenile. After the incident, Humphrey allegedly threatened to harm the juvenile and her family if she told anyone what had happened.

Ferriday police investigator Richard Madison said the incident is still under investigation.

Humphrey was in the Concordia Parish jail Monday with no bond set.
