NATCHEZ — Tonight the skies over the Mississippi River bridges will be filled with bursts of color.

The annual Fourth of July fireworks show is scheduled to begin soon after 9 p.m., event organizer René Adams said.

The fireworks will be launched from a barge  north of the bridges and can be viewed from both sides of the river, Adams said.

The town of Vidalia will have live entertainment on the riverfront starting at 6 p.m.
