NATCHEZ – Graveside services for Helen A. Delaney, 83, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Glenburney Nursing Home, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Edgar Wright officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:15 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Delaney was born Feb. 5, 1928, in Independence community in Franklin County, the daughter of Eli “Buster” Murray and Nancy Ratcliff Murray.
She was a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Delaney was a member of Morgantown Baptist Church
Mrs. Delaney was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ike Murray and Fred Murray; four sisters, Vertie Cothern, Nell Pickett, Laura Bell Laird and Lizzie Arnold.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Charles Sidney Delaney; two daughters, Vivian Jackson of Natchez and Melody Martin and husband, Vann, of Franklin, Tenn.; one sister, Darlene Beck of Baton Rouge.
