BUDE — Services for Joe Frost, 88, of Bude, who died Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at his residence, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Bude Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Williamsburg United Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Frost was born Aug. 21, 1928, in Williamsburg, the son of E.E. and I.D. Frost.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and a member of the 349th Infantry Reg. 88th Division Blue Devils. He was one of the few survivors of the Massacre Valley Battle during the Korean War.
Mr. Frost was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son; two brothers, Franklin Frost and Horace Kay Frost; one sister, Katie Morris and husband, Perry; and one grandson, John Connor Waycaster.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Frost; three daughters, Angela Reid and husband, Colin, of Madisonville, La., Anita Case and husband, Bob, of Brookhaven, and JoAnn Allred Waycaster and husband, Todd, of Natchez; one sister, Jaqueline Frost Tisdale and husband, Jim, of Starkville; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of family and friends.
